Whether you are an Arts, Commerce or Science graduate, If you have the hoping for teaching as your profession, Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree is compulsory. This is a professional degree, which is aimed to build practical skills of observation and teaching. It is an integrated course of study designed to develop the range of knowledge and skills related to the profession of teaching and its curriculum.

Bachelor of Education is a full time regular course of two years after graduation. The college is affiliated to Sant Gadgebaba Amravati University, Amravati & recognised by NCTE, Bhopal.

Norms

Norms and standard for bachelor of education programme leading to the Bachelor of Education (B. Ed.)

  1. Preamble
    The Bachelor of Education programme generally known as B.Ed. is a professional course that prepares teachers for upper primary or middle level (classes VI-VIII),secondary level (classes IX-X) and senior secondary level (classes XI-XII).
  2. Duration
    The B.Ed. programme is of a duration of two academic years which can be completed in a maximum of three years from the date of admission to the programme.
  3. Intake
    There is a single unit of 50 students.
  4. Eligibility
    - Candidates with 50 % marks in the bachelor’sdegree and / or in the master’s degree in sciences/ social sciences/humanities, bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology with specialization in sciences and mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto are eligible for the admission to the programme.
    - B. The reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories shall be as per the rules of the state government.

Admission Procedure

Admission is done on merit on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and in the entrance examination CET as per the policy of state government.
